| Requests/Comments/Answers: | Hi, I'm just strating to lean more about my grandfather's time in WW2 and today I found out he was in the 150th Combat Engineers. His name was Andrew Capuano - he was a 2nd Lt. and he would go out before they would build bridges to make sure it was safe. He got hit by shrapnel on one mission and was later retired due to the injuries to his leg. I haven't found him on your website yet but I'll keep looking! Thanks for all the good information and great pictures! |

| Comments: | My father, Eddie Broderick was in the 150th from D-Day until end of war. He was a middle weight boxer representing the battalion and fought in US prior to deployment and again in the UK. Stories I remember from childhood dealt with demolitions, mine sweeping and bridge building. He had many B&W photos - they were very tiny compared to what I grew up with. He drove a modified 2.5 ton truck with twin fifties mounted behind the cab. Most 2 1/2 trucks that were equiped with offensive firepower had a 30 cal so his truck must have left an impression to anyone seeing it and I wonder if anyone remembers seeing it. I had photos of it but can't find them: they may have been lost in a house fire. I'm looking for anyone who remembers Eddie Broderick. He was a fun guy and I understand had a fiery reputation associated with his boxing exploits. My father continued to serve. He died of a heart attack 1967. He was a detective- Stamford, CT Police Force. He often spoke of his buddies who never made it home. I have some momentoes and perhaps his 150th campaign scrapbook. I can scan it if anyone is looking that type of stuff. |

I will accompany a group of WWII veterans back to Bavaria in April/May, and would gladly include you in the receptions. Warm regards, and thank you so much for all you did in 1945! Dr. Anna E.
